Curious and zealous individuals from all over the monarchy and Europe as a whole would flock to the imperial city. Tasteful lifestyle and indulgence played a prominent role in all of this – balls, soirees, concerts and coffeehouses were an obligatory component of this way of life. As one of the most state-of-the-art hotels of its time, our establishment introduced various innovations, such as a lift, or central heating, electricity and running water in all rooms,. During the fading 19th century, the Imperial Court was as much of a paragon for us as it is today, with its wealth of cordiality and cleanliness. The role of the Emperor may perhaps have been reserved to a single person. However, feeling like an emperor — as a result of our professional, charming service — can be experienced by anyone. After each check out, the rooms are cleaned with special attention. Especially items such as remote controls, door handles and light switches are disinfected with the utmost care.

In case you didn’t know: Emperor Franz Josef I loved simplicity and order. Naturally, we appreciate order too. Simplicity, however, is something that you certainly won’t find in one of our suites. The impressive baths are equipped with Jacuzzis and massage showers. The living and dorm rooms are, of course, separated and tastefully decorated. Our Admiral Suite guarantees an especially pleasant stay, with its antique and maritime furniture pieces. Outstanding in Every Way
My adult son and I stayed here on our Rick Steves tour and were delighted with this cozy, elegant property. I am 75 years old, and the location of the hotel was within comfortable walking distance of everything in central Vienna, and yet situated on a quiet street. The room was larger than the average European room that I have experienced and very well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were elegant, professional, efficient, and always cordial while addressing individual special requests and questions that arose. The breakfast venue, selection and quality were outstanding and the staff were most attentive and cordial.

Great location with fantastic hospitality
Our stay was short but we loved the experience with the hotel. We initially had booked a single room for the two of us. Our son decided to join us at the last minute and the hotel was very accommodating to give him a room at the same rate as ours. The rooms were nice, large and cosy. Very conveniently located - next to the museum and around 10 mins walk from city centre. Breakfast spread was awesome. Would love to come back.

Charming Vienna Hotel
The Kaiserhof is a beautiful hotel, centrally located in Vienna. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is in walking distance to the Opera House and a main U Bahn station, making it easy to see all the sites!

Absolutely loved this hotel
This hotel was one of the best hotels we have every stayed in. Why? It is situated in a brilliant location, has friendly staff, great breakfast with plenty of variety to suit all tasted, lovely spacious bedroom and is excellent value for money.
This hotel is situated about ten minutes walk from U4 station and local trams, fifteen-twenty minutes from all the main attraction in Vienna - Nachtsmarkt, Opera House, shops, cathedral, hop on hop off buses, cafes and restaurants. Brilliant
All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The hotel bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and even provided an umbrella to use!
Rest of hotel - dining room and bar and reception are equally as clean and well kept.

Wonderful, charming hotel in Vienna!
Spent three nights here at the end of a tour. Lovely hotel a few blocks from the center of Vienna, Opera, Ring Trams etc... Staff was excellent - Mr Rippl behind the bar was especially welcoming and made outstanding Vodka Martinis! Room was very comfortable, breakfast was excellent with a vast array of breakfast foods, well-prepared. Nice way to pamper ourselves after a vigorous trip. Would absolutely stay here again!
